Itinerary
Arrival and Introduction to the Serengeti
Morning:
Check in at Arusha airport for your flight to Kogatende – Northern Serengeti.
You’ll arrive at Kogatende Airstrip, where our Nyumbu Luxury Camp guide will be at hand to greet you. After an hour’s drive with game en-route, you’ll arrive at Nyumbu Luxury Migration Camp, your home for the next four nights. Nestled in a secluded area, the camp offers stunning views of the surrounding savannah.
Afternoon:
After a delicious lunch, unwind and soak in the ambiance of the Serengeti. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon game drive to get the feel of the Northern Serengeti’s unique landscape. With luck you may be greeted with most of what the Serengeti has to offer.
Evening:
Return to camp to freshen up and join the rest of the guests at the camp fire for pre-dinner drinks and unwind as you and your guide plan the for the next day’s activities.

The Great Migration & River Crossing
Morning:
A wake-up call will be placed for accompanied by your choice beverage – hot chocolate, coffee or tea, proceeded with a hearty breakfast before setting off on a full-day game drive focused on witnessing the dramatic wildebeest river crossing at the Mara River. The anticipation builds as you watch thousands of wildebeests and zebras gather, waiting for the right moment to cross.
Afternoon:
Enjoy a hamper lunch in the bush as you continue to follow the herds, hoping to witness the heart-pounding moment when they plunge into the river, facing strong currents and lurking crocodiles.
Evening:
Return to camp, exhilarated by the day’s experiences. Relax with a refreshing drink as you share stories with fellow guests.
Dinner & overnight.
Balloon Ride & Cultural Experience
Morning:
You have the option of booking a ballon flight (check the price with us upon booking)
Rise before dawn for a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon safari. Drift silently over the Serengeti as the sun rises, casting a golden glow over the landscape. From above, you may spot herds of wildebeest, elephants, and other wildlife moving across the plains. After landing, celebrate with a traditional champagne breakfast in the bush.
After the balloon flight you guide will be at hand to meet with and proceed for game drive for the rest of the morning and early afternoon.
Afternoon:
Return to camp for a hot lunch
After lunch you can choose to have the afternoon at leisure or still go out on a short game drive.
Evening:
Back to camp, the team will arrange a sundowner (get to a nice secluded spot for you to sit and enjoy the sun as it walks to sleep at camp)
Return to camp for dinner and overnight
Exploration & Relaxation
Morning:
Another early start as you head out for a morning game drive, exploring different areas of the Northern Serengeti. The early hours are perfect for spotting predators on the hunt and witnessing the morning routines of the plains’ animals.
Afternoon:
Return to camp for a leisurely lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lounge or indulging in a massage treatment, enjoying the tranquility and luxury of the camp.
Evening:
For your final night, enjoy a private bush dinner under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the wild. Reflect on the incredible experiences of the past few days as you savor the gourmet cuisine.

Saying goodbye to the Serengeti
Morning
After breakfast, take a short morning game drive en-route to the airstrip. Bid farewell to the Serengeti as you embark on your journey home, carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
